Thank you for stopping by, I'm so happy you're here!
I'm honored that you're interested in having me document your family session! I offer years of experience, a BFA in Fine Art - specializing in Photography, and so much love for photographing all of the amazing stages of family life! I would be thrilled to be the one to tell your families story through beautiful photographs!
From booking to image delivery, I will provide an experience that leaves you with a happy heart, stunning photographs and memories you will cherish for years to come. My heart sings in the key of naturally lit spaces, and I leap at any chance to rush off to the beach, nature parks, and even the desert. Natural light, is key to my style of photography and best for my preferred medium: film. But while I love film, I am a hybrid photographer, so I also incorporate digital shots into every family session giving my clients the best of both worlds.
Film takes years to to learn how shoot well and it’s expensive, so why shoot it at all? Because I believe in giving my clients the absolute best and the best is film. Film produces the most gorgeous skin tones, the softest images, and has the most timeless aesthetic. I often ask my clients “what drew you to my work?” and every time I hear about how it’s timeless with beautiful, true colors - this is all thanks to my choice to shoot film and why you should consider hiring a hybrid photographer for your family. Not only does it produce beautiful, natural colors perfect for framing around the house, film helps photographers wait patiently for the perfect moment and slow down rather than “rapid fire” shooting hoping to get the shot. Of course I shoot digital too because of how quickly little ones move around! Once I receive the film images from my processing lab, I then start the matching process. Over the years and lots (and lots!) of practice I have been able to look at the film photos in tandem with the images from my digital camera and match them so close that it’s quite hard to tell which is which! The film acts as a base to all of my digital photos so that you’re getting a consistent, timeless look throughout your final gallery.
I want you to be able to feel the moments from your session while you scroll through your images. I want them to be beautiful, timeless, and honest. This is why I shoot film.

Q: What makes your work different from other photographers’ work?
A: In a world where anyone can pick up a camera, I am extremely grateful to have had the opportunity to receive a Bachelor’s of Fine Art with a specialization in Photography. I’m properly educated in the creative and technical aspects of fine art photography - this includes making sure that all of my images are consistent in editing and shooting style. I shoot in both traditional film format and the latest professional grade digital cameras & lenses. I absolutely adore the timeless feel of film, but love the speed and reliability of digital. My wedding work is consistently featured in top weddings blogs such as Style Me Pretty, The Know, Green Wedding Shoes, Brides, and more!
Q: How long until we receive our photos after our session?
A: Please allow up to 4 weeks for a full gallery to be delivered. Although delivery is typically much sooner, turnaround times vary based on time of year. On the back end, film has to be dropped off to the lab, developed, and scanned back to me. Once I receive the film scans I then start the process to matching the digital photographs with the film photographs which will give you a cohesive, cared for, beautiful, final gallery.
Q: Do I have to order prints through you?
A: I highly recommend ordering prints through my professional lab, but it is not required. Each session comes with a print release that allows you to print how you’d like. However, the difference in quality is huge when it comes to ordering through a local printer and a professional lab, so we encourage clients to let us help with prints!
Thank you so much for considering me to be a part of your family’s story! If you're interested in working with me please contact me directly at firstname.lastname@example.org. I cannot wait to hear from you!
