Ojai, CA | Bridal Editorial
Editorial shoots will always have a special place in my heart, especially this one amongst the olive trees of Ojai, CA! I have to give a huge shout out to one of my favorite florists, Maher (Florals by Maher Haroun) for designing and executing this entire shoot. I had so much fun photographing all of the details that he had planned up - as a wedding photographer, we are consistently shooting (gorgeous!) events but they aren't set up by us. This makes it even more exciting to take a day, head out to gorgeous locations, have fun, and get creative in a stress free environment. It's great for our little photographer souls to do these sorts of things!
Maher had a clear vision of a farmer's daughter getting married and from there, the magic was produced. He chose an Olive Oil Farm in Ojai, CA for the light green trees, neutral grounds, and can we just talk about that bouquet for a minute? It is one my favorite bouquets of all time. The tones and style are perfect, to be honest, I don't know how florists do it! What an art, placing each specific flower, choosing colors carefully, and ultimately choosing the size even before seeing who will hold it.
Our model, Jessica Minter, was a rockstar, parading around the farm without shoes, dealing with the extreme heat, and still maintaining poise and grace throughout the duration of our shoot. She was dressed in one of my favorite designers, Claire Pettibone, and completed the look with a dewey finish from Cheek to Cheek Artistry.
I hope you enjoy the images as much as I do - it's one of my favorite shoots to date and we had a lot of fun creating it!
