With engagement season upon us (and the fact that I need to play catch up on my blog!), I’m taking the time to reflect on some of my favorite engagement sessions!
I want to start with Haley and Dave’s recent engagement session in Corona Del Mar, CA. This session is really a great representation of the tips that I send to my couples to prepare them for what’s in store. The colors, the meaning, and the interactions were a dream!
We began at Haley and Dave’s friends house in Newport Beach, CA where they spend so much time with their friends enjoying cocktails by the bay. I love when couples choose locations that are meaningful and comfortable for them. Also, Haley wore her moms dress, which is a great way to reflect on the past and give a little bit of recognition to her mom in the images. It photographed really well and made total sense for the first location.
Secondly, we arrived to an LDS Temple in Newport Beach. At first, Haley wanted to shoot at Greystone Mansion but with their schedules it was almost impossible to make the drive up there so we found this hidden gem with the tall Cypress Trees that Haley and Dave love! There’s nothing quite like the light that comes through the trees about an hour and a half before sunset!
Lastly, we went to Little Corona Beach - it’s truly on of my favorite beach locations! The rocks, the light, and then having Haley and Dave in the scene was the icing on the cake! The way that they look at each other and enjoy the small moments is everything!
Spending the evening with these two was a blast and I’m so thankful to have met them! I can’t wait until their wedding coming up at Saddlerock Ranch in Malibu, CA!
