I am so excited to share some images from my very fist travel wedding! As much as I love photographing in Southern California, I absolutely love to see and explore new places and venues. Especially this really cute wedding in Wilmington, Ohio because it is close to my hometown so I was able to visit my own family and friends during my stay.
Anyhoo, back to the wedding! I met Mcke and Chad on the wedding day, which is pretty rare in the photography world. I am so honored that they trusted me to capture the most important day of their lives without having met me first. I thoroughly enjoyed my time with them, and they were really fun to work with. They got married at The Loft At Samuel Walker's on the deck, but there were so many perks about getting married there! Everything was in the same location, from the bridal suite, groom room, reception, and ceremony I was able to bounce around snapping photos with ease. When I pulled up to the venue it was down pouring, not just a little rain, like monsoon type rain. Mcke stayed so calm during the getting ready process and continued to smile despite the weather conditions. Luckily, the rain cleared up as soon as it was "go time"! We were able to keep the ceremony out on the deck and even run outside for a few photos afterwards.
From the beginning, everyone showed up to the venue to finish up getting ready and it was really fun! The bridal suite and the grooms room were really close together, so I had to be careful to not let them see each other! Mcke's biggest request for the day was for Chad to see her for the first time when she came down the aisle. I'm so happy that it all worked out and I was able to get Chad's reaction to seeing his absolutely gorgeous bride! Her dress was by David's Bridal and Mcke and her gal pals made the bouquets.
Mcke's daughter was a huge part of the festivities. Her role in the ceremony was absolutely beautiful. She was able to say some words to Chad during the ceremony, and it was so awesome to see them all come together as one family. The unity that they have is so strong and it was such a special part of the day.
The night continued with some awesome music, dancing, love, and lots of laughs. I am so honored that I was able to play such a big role on their day and get some awesome images that they can look back on for the years to come! I wish them the happiest ever after!
Congratulations Mcke + Chad!
