Thank you for your interest in attending my next group mentoring session taking place at Kestrel Park!

A little bit about my mentoring session style (for those of you who haven't attended one yet) - I love to set these up so you can learn what you're truly interested in rather than doing a typical power point and talking about things you already know. Over the past year of setting these up, I have found that learning together as a group is extremely beneficial. Since you're able to bring questions and topics that you are most interested in, I am more able to help you overcome struggles you may have in your business. The great thing about this too is that you might hear a question or topic that you may not have thought about before that could be potentially helpful in your business. Even with this style of Q+A, I still make sure I share much of what I do - such as workflow, making vendor connections, social media, and how I shoot hybrid.

For this shoot, my extremely talented friend Maher Haroun in styling the entire session for us - if you haven't seen his work, it's definitely worth a look! His Instagram is @floralsbymaherharoun . He has the most amazing eye for design, cohesion, and concept and I'm so thrilled that he'll be helping me set up this shoot. In addition to his talents, we will have Borrowed Blu on the rentals, @isidore_augustine is our calligrapher, and then Claire Pettibone will be our dress vendor - we are still finalizing our couple (who also model), if they fall through we will be booking directly through an agency. Because of this location we are doing a styled shoot with a table, our models, and of course small details like rings, invitation suite, etc. Attached to this email is the mood board so that you can get an idea what style we are going for :) 

It is strongly suggested that you shoot film or are planning on diving into film for this shoot. This way it's fair for everyone with timing and being strategic about their images rather than clicking the shutter like rapid fire at the shoot. I will have any extra Pentax 645N and a Nikon 35mm film camera to practice on - you will just be responsible for bringing your own film. If you need help with film stocks please let me know! 

I am opening this mentorship to 6 photographers on Thursday at 12:00pm. To register, you'll be given a link via email on Thursday where you can pay via PayPal through my website. The early bird fee for the shoot is $650/per person and this of course goes towards venue fees and vendor fees. After 10/25 the fee will be $750/per person. I also can provide transportation for 6 people if anyone needs a ride up to Santa Ynez. 

For the day of, we will be starting early at 10:45 and ending at 4:00. In the beginning, while set up is taking place for the table and hair and makeup on the models we will begin our group discussion/Q+A session - I always suggest bringing two questions as starting points for things you’d like to know more about. It can be about film, pricing, social media, anything! When it comes to shooting, I will have an assistant there to help me out with timing to ensure fairness for everyone during their time :)
